A huge leatherback sea turtle makes its way out of the ocean and onto the sand in this charming video. Even though the magnificent beast was only passing through for a quick rest, it was enough to startle everyone.
The two minutes of footage show the biggest turtle in the world lounging on the sand before slipping back into the ocean, despite the fact that the location of the video’s production is unclear. One of the beachgoers who witnessed the incredibly unusual occurrence photographed the scene.
The leatherback turtle, known as the largest turtle in the world, spends most of its time traveling across the ocean alone. Rarely do they come ashore to rest, as it did in this instance; they only do so to lay their eggs.
